
A record 26 short films and one feature will be screened as part of the fourth year of the Bloody Flicks Awards, which takes place on Saturday 24 February at the Brampton Museum.
The film festival, based in Newcastle-under-Lyme will feature short films from all over the world, including Canada, Australia, the U.S., Spain and Ireland.
The feature film to be screened will be the excellent horror anthology Lore, featuring genre star Richard Brake plus Andrew Lee Potts and Feed Me‘s Christopher Mulvin.
In Lore, four friends arrange a ghostly excursion, their guide asks them each to tell the scariest story they have ever heard, but little do they know, those stories would have major consequences for them and others.

Greed & Gore – Five criminals pick the wrong safe house to lay low after robbing a bank.
Collar – What happens when a seemingly ordinary priest is confronted by a seemingly ordinary man? While reading the Bible on a particularly windy day, Father Harris is confronted by a tall stranger, one who makes him question his beliefs and motivations. And all in a quest for the truth, however horrifying. Not even a helpful woman can save this priest, who must make a choice. For not all sins can be forgiven.
The Doll – A woman is led down a path of dark decisions whilst befriended by an old possessed doll.
The Haunted Baby Carriage From Hell – Spencer and Cameron move into a new house that just so happens to be haunted by an old baby carriage. As the carriage endeavours to scare the couple, the attempts ultimately fail because the couple just doesn’t care… like… you know… at all.
Raptus – Kidnapped by a masked man, tortured, and for what?
Sincopat – Ona, a creative executive of a large company, is about to launch the latest technological revolution into the market: a device that allows listening to music directly inside the brain.
Soul – Shooting a simple advert for a new health drink – what could go wrong?
Skinny Dip – A couple get stripped a little more than they’d have liked for a swim.
Cul-de-sac – A couple of city dwellers move to the suburbs and are bombarded by their hyperactive neighbours who aggressively try to get them to try a strange, new health product.
Who Am I – A simple game of ‘Who Am I?’ between a mother and daughter whilst
Let It Kill You – When a disillusioned soldier unearths an alleged enemy combatant from a tomb, he fights to prove the man’s innocence, only to discover his new friend may have been buried alive for a reason.
The Ceremony – Two sisters, Alice & Ellie, have to sacrifice a Witch in order to become rich and powerful. As The Ceremony gets underway, it takes an unexpected turn when the ‘Witch’ uses her powers for evil. Who was the Ceremony actually for?
Table for Two – John Frazier takes the shy but beautiful Ann Daniels to dinner at a particular restaurant. As the evening unfolds, John quickly realizes the secrets he has spent years protecting are threatened by his inquisitive date. Devastating truths about the pair are exposed and neither will be the same after the explosive conclusion.
Final Girls’ Bloodbath – A new slasher film is brewing – a Casting Director brings two actresses, both notorious for solely playing the ‘Final Girl’ in for a killer audition with Horror Legend, WILLIAM WHITLOCK.
What starts off as a chemistry audition with WHITLOCK becomes an actual life-or-death battle, as the two Final Girls’ real-life survival skills are put to the test when the studio doors lock behind them.
Help Point – After a heavy night out, Becky misses her train home. Stranded at an empty station, she uses the Help Point on the platform but hears a voice on the other side – asking for her help

Saint Sacrifice – He had promised her love and faithfulness until death do them part, but Antoine, the widower, will be willing to lose his soul to be reunited with his wife on the other side.
Pretty Hands – After recently moving to a seaside town, a single mother’s mental state derails as she becomes increasingly convinced that someone is trying to steal her baby.
Tooth – Fed up with decades of suffering through the forced perfection of modern beauty standards, a tooth takes matters into its own hands.
It Grew Both Day and Night – A stubborn allotment gardener, past his prime, yearns for the glory days. But his wrath for an irreverent rival consumes him
Gentlemen of the Club – The story of a group of goth graverobbing musicians from the UK
Chef Gustav – A proud chef is cooking a fancy meal and is forced to fight a mischievous cat who will stop at nothing to steal the food he is cooking.
