The Chucky Collection review

Arrow is on their boxset game with the release of the entire feature film collection of the original Child’s Play series.

While this collection has already been released in recent years, this bumper set includes the superb Living With Chucky documentary plus discs loaded with features, especially for the earlier entries which were previously omitted for whatever reason.

Here we have more complete looks at Child’s Play 2 and 3, with one of the highlights being Don Mancini explaining the writing process for the third film.

Later entries from Bride of Chucky onwards have the standard features you may have seen on previous solo releases with some added caveats.

The main reason for purchasing this upgrade is the 4K remasters which really enhance the viewing here, with all of the sequels receiving the top treatment. While the original Child’s Play doesn’t have a 4K transfer, it does have a 2K master from a previous release.

Having the Living With Chucky documentary on the roster will certainly add some appeal to completists, showing a fascinating insight into the craft behind creating the iconic killer doll.

If you haven’t got a boxset of Child’s Play already this is well worth a purchase, or if you are keen to upgrade your viewing experience you can’t go wrong with the transfers plus there are plenty of features to devour.

The Chucky Blu-Ray collection is available from 18 December 2023 from Arrow.
