For Morena Sorrentino’s short At Rest, we take this irrational fear and go to an extreme as a girl is stalked in her bed by a truly twisted-looking monster.
Using nightmare logic and sleep paralysis as themes, At Rest ratchets up the tension of the scenario.
Sorrentino creates an incredible-looking monster here, which feels plucked from a Lovecraft story.
The final shot of At Rest is truly haunting.
