Dracula, The Podcastula announced by Broadway’s Andrew Keenan-Bolger

Broadway Podcast Network has launched Broadway’s first ever weekly companion podcast,, “Dracula, The Podcastula,” hosted by Drama League and Outer Critics Circle Award nominee Andrew Keenan-Bolger. Launching October 5, new episodes will be available weekly from bpn.fm/podcastula and everywhere else podcasts are found.

A first of its kind for theater, this companion podcast allows fans to uncover behind-the-scenes content about the creation of a Broadway show, and the ever-changing life on stage in New York. Episodes will cover topics including navigating the 8 show-a-week grind, the actors maintaining their humor, keeping the show fresh, on and off stage mishaps, questions from fans, and more. The podcast was developed by Keenan-Bolger and Broadway Podcast Network co-founder and CTO, Alan Seales.

“As soon as I started working professionally, I tried to find ways to share my behind-the-scenes adventures with a wider audience,” says Andrew Keenan-Bolger. “Whether it be blogging, filming backstage videos for YouTube, or creating theater-centric hashtags and challenges on Twitter and Instagram, I’ve always understood that there is tremendous power in including our fans in the process of mounting a show. I’m so excited to be teaming up with Broadway Podcast Network and venturing into a new medium that will bring Dracula, A Comedy of Terrors closer to our audience. With “Dracula the Podcastula,” I want to provide a frank and funny peek behind the curtain. We’ve all heard ‘talking points’ interviews with actors done by journalists, but what does a conversation sound like in the intimacy of a dressing room — putting on makeup and getting ready to go onstage? Each episode of “Dracula the Podcastula” is packed with tales of on-stage mishaps, spooky theatrical stories and hilarious games and pranks.”

Andrew Keenan-Bolger’s Broadway credits include Tuck Everlasting (Jesse Tuck, Drama League Award nominee), Newsies (Crutchie, Outer Critics Circle nominee), Mary PoppinsSeussical, Beauty and the Beast, A Christmas Carol. He has appeared in the 1st National Tours: of Spelling Bee, and How The Grinch Stole Christmas; and Off-Broadway in Seven Deadly Sins. TV and credits include “The Undoing,” “The Blacklist,” “The Other Two,” “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” “Nurse Jackie,” “Looking,” The Rewrite, Marci X, and the upcoming On Swift Horses and V13. Andrew is co-creator of the series “Submissions Only,” and co-author of the book series Jack & Louisa (Penguin Random House). @KeenanBlogger

“All of my favorite TV shows have companion podcasts which feature exciting, entertaining, and transparent content that accompany each episode,” says Alan Seales. “It makes sense that Broadway shows should have companion podcasts too. Given Broadway Podcast Network’s deep knowledge of podcasting, multimedia production, and the Broadway space at large, we are perfectly poised to bring this new type of podcast to theater fans all over the world.”
