Grimmfest 2023

Fck’n Nuts (Grimmfest 2023) review

Meeting the parents of your partner can always be a tricky affair, but is it worth breaking it off to avoid?

This is part of the conundrum facing Sandy, during Sam Fox’s Fck’n Nuts, which screens as part of Grimmfest’s short film lineup.

On paper Dan seems like the perfect boyfriend; how weird can Sandy’s parents be?

Using POV shots we get the view from the parents, building up that they are real ball busters, especially for suitors to their precious daughter.

Initially, it feels like Dan has entered the house from The Texas Chain Saw Massacre with stuffed animals everywhere and a filthy kitchen where hygiene is a surefire second priority.

The short goes to a place you won’t expect, and may have some viewers saying, huh?

Inventive and gross out body horror is the order of the day for Fck’n Nuts, which certainly offers something different to viewers.

A truly bizarre but well executed short.

Fck’n Nuts screens as part of Grimmfest 2023.
