Crowdfunder released for indie horror Never Have I Ever

A crowdfunding campaign has been launched for indie horror Never Have I Ever, the first feature of Brit filmmaker Damon Rickard.

Never Have I Ever is an edgy character-driven thriller from the award-winning team behind THE TOUR, THE PACKAGE, STOLEN, and EAT ME OUT (OF HOUSE AND HOME) and is the feature debut of writer/director DAMON RICKARD. 

Sam is having a terrible day. He is late delivering a screenplay and the threat of being forced to repay his advance looms ominously over him as he simply doesn’t have the money left. But his day goes from bad to worse when a variety of strange things start happening.

From simply losing his wallet to seemingly having multiple break-ins to his home. Then a chance encounter whilst drowning his sorrows sends his day in directions he couldn’t possibly have anticipated.

The cast that has been put together for this film is brim full of talent, all joining a low-budget project based on the strength of the material. The film stars ANDREW LEE POTTS (PRIMEVAL, THE CROWN), BEATRICE FLETCHER (WRATH OF VAN HELSING, HAYWIRE), AMBER DOIG-THORNE (WINNIE THE POOH: BLOOD & HONEY), DAVY EDUARD KING (TO CATCH A SPY), NATASHA KILLIP (DON’t LET GO), JOHNNY VIVASH (WALKING AGAINST THE RAIN, ISAAC), POPPY ANN WILLIAMS (STILL LIFE), TONY SANDS (THE KRAYS, NEFARIOUS) & MARTINA GREENWOOD. Damon also welcomes back his frequent collaborator JACK AYERS as his Director of Photography as well as bringing MEL MORLEY on board as Producer. 

Whilst set in current times it will lean on Damon’s most cherished period of genre filmmaking – the 80’s. This will be reflected in the synth score by MITCH BAIN (A GHOST WAITS, WHEN I CONSUME YOU), which will be available as a digital download as part of the rewards on offer, and use of neon color palettes.

The narrative, however, is very Hitchcokian in nature, reminiscent of his works such as Vertigo. The script has been labeled “gripping” only allowing the viewer to be aware of the same things the main characters are, pushing the suspense right to the very end.
