In conjunction with Cultplex’s STAB season, GASP! Horror Film Festival will be returning to the home of their yearly horror event to host a screening of 90s horror classic, Ghostwatch!
Directed by Lesley Manning, who will be attending in person for an introduction and post-screening Q&A, and starring a big range of early 90s TV personalities, Ghostwatch horrified the nation back in 1992 when it was presented in the style of a live broadcast, leaving many viewers horrified with the many creepy events that occur within its 90-minute runtime.
Over the years, it has gained a cult following and gone on to influence the likes of The Conjuring 2, Host, Paranormal Activity and The Blair Witch Project as well as an episode of Inside No. 9 which recreated the film’s style for a modern audience.
Be sure to join them for a throwback to Halloween night 1992 and to watch a film that mixes camp and scary on an expert level, and be sure to look out for the many appearances of Pipes – 90s fancy dress is optional but strongly encouraged.
