Whoever said marriage is a curse?
Well, this isn’t exactly the case in My Scary Indian Wedding, a short from director Ramone Menon, it’s actually quite the opposite.
We follow the story of a cursed bridesmaid who is forced to track down her soulmate, just to escape the wrath of a demon.
As this is the modern day, she sets off on a dating app called Matchmaker as the demon named The Manglik draws in.
She is forced to complete nine rituals or face the wrath of the demon. My Scary Indian Wedding is an entertaining and refreshing yarn, littered with some decent jump scares.
Given its structure, this short plays out like a role-playing game, with a creepy voiceover to boot.
This was a lot of fun.
