Hannah Panov’s new short, the directly titled Bitches Kill Bitches has a dreamy filter to it.
Set as more of a musical than a straight-up film narrative, the short does take a dark path which veers more towards a feminist revenge tale.
Panov’s tale has a raw quality to it which lures you into a false sense of security before pulling the rug.
Although slightly more restrained, I would compare it on a lighter scale to something like Assassination Nation.
It really highlights how teenagers can think of something that could be construed as small fry as the end of the world and the drastic measures they will go to, to right this supposed wrong.
