We all deal with hardship in different ways.
Take the titular character of Andrew Fuchs’ Puppet Man, who has decided to create a puppet show to help deal with a breakup. I guess we all have our different methods of catharsis.
His ex didn’t care for his profession, but a room full of strangers is about to find out how serious he takes it.
While the short has a dark humour to it, it is also quite heartfelt and you can see how much this is affecting the puppet man.
There are questions around if companionship is enough for someone even if affection is not reciprocated by both partners. The lines become blurry between art and real life.
An engrossing watch.
