Friday the 13th Part III is set for a return to the big screen this September at Grindfest, a compilation of horror genre films, all shown on 35mm film at the Regent Christchurch in Bournemouth.
The specialist 35mm film exhibitor Dirt In The Gates Movies is bringing Jason’s 3D debut to the big screen, as part of the festival which runs from 15-17 September 2023.
Friday The 13th Part 3 is showing on Friday 15 September at 7pm as part of the festivities and will be screened in the proper 3-D experienced in theaters back in 1982.
Dirt in the Gates Movies describes the screening as; Highly regarded as the pinnacle of the short-lived 1980s 3D revival and not seen locally in its original over/under 35mm 3D process since its theatrical release over forty years ago, now utilizing modern chromatic filtered lenses and matching glasses; this is a must-see for Friday 13th and 3D fans!
