Greed (Salem Horror Fest 2023) review

Sometimes you just need someone to tell you how it is.

In Amber Danger Johnson’s micro-short Greed, we watch, what feels like an online broadcast of a woman reciting everything that is wrong with the patriarchy and why now women need to fight back more than ever.

Intermittently, we get bold instructions on the screen to show viewers a call to arms, whilst intercut with the lady eating a feast.

The central performance of Joy Dolo is truly fantastic and engrossing, feeling powerful and purposeful.

Greed feels fresh and unflinching and demands your attention.

Greed screens as part of Salem Horror Fest 2023.
