The Internet Remains Undefeated (Panic Fest 2023) review

In the year of our lord 2023, it’s hard to comprehend a modern world without the internet.

From screechy dial-up modems to 5G broadband and the creation of social media, things have come a long way – but that’s not to say there hasn’t been plenty of weirdness created.

Robbie Gibbon’s The Internet Remains Undefeated, shines a light on the weirdness of content creation and initially just asks why?

We follow a couple living next door to a noisy neighbour, with one of them finally having enough and going to find out what the constant noise is, and let’s just say what she finds is unexpected.

The Internet Remains Undefeated deals with the nightmarish scenario of GIFs coming to life, which again given the random creations out there would be quite scary.

This short is truly bizarre and yet like the things its parodying, oddly hypnotic.

Like every latest trend on TikTok, The Internet Remains Undefeated is hard to ignore and will get stuck in your head.

The Internet Remains Undefeated screens as part of Panic Fest 2023.
