While fans of A Nightmare on Elm Street wait patiently for updates for a new official film, Womp Stomp Films and The Horror Show are here to help fill that void with the debut of the first official trailer for their upcoming fan film Dylan’s New Nightmare!
Dylan’s New Nightmare is an unofficial sequel to Wes Craven’s New Nightmare. Directed by Cecil Laird of The Horror Show YouTube channel, the short film picks up almost 30 years after the events of the original New Nightmare and welcomes back Miko Hughes to reprise the role of Dylan Porter, the young son of Heather Langenkamp, now a grown man trying to make his way in the world his parents raised him in—Hollywood.
Little does he know that the evil entity known as Freddy Krueger is back, and eager to once again break into our world through the son of his favourite victim.
After completing filming in November of 2022, the project is finally ready to share the full official trailer, including a first look at Freddy Krueger in motion, played by Dave McRae and featuring make-up designed by “Face Off” Season 9 winner Nora Hewitt. The trailer also includes cameos by Friday the 13th alumni Ron Sloan and Cindy Kania.
