Project Wolf Hunting review

My initial reaction after finishing Kim Hong-Seon’s Project Wolf Hunting, is simply – I’ve never seen something that gory in some time.

While that may be a preface to mindless violence, this feature has the brains and the braun. We follow a cargo ship that has also become a passenger freight for a number of dangerous criminals.

When said convicts look to make their escape, they encounter a menace that could soon make both them and the crew and law enforcement thinking about making a pact to survive.

As I’ve said the action sequences are stupendously gory, to the point that characters are slipping on blood as it gushes from every body. We have crushed heads, torn off limbs, ripped out hearts, you name, it’s all here.

What sets Project Wolf Hunting apart is that it creates interesting and complex characters with multiple layers and a few notable twists that will viewers entertained and intrigued during its 2 hour runtime.

I am usually one that preaches for films to be a tight 90 minutes, but Project Wolf Hunting is an exception to this personal stipulation; making for a compelling and gory rollercoaster.

Seek it out, just don’t have lunch just beforehand.

Project Wolf Hunting is released on Blu-ray, DVD & Digital 10th April.
