I get the feeling we have all felt trapped at one point or another, especially over the past few years with the pandemic, lockdowns etc.
In James Mansell’s short The Corridor, he attempts to encapsulate this kind of feeling, using the titular corridor as the place you just can’t escape.
The voiceover of this animated film feels like some kind of therapeutic retelling of a mental breakdown, grainy and haunting.
We hint at a lost love, but given the fragile state of the narrator, could there be something imagined or an illusion created by their twisted mind?
Beautifully shot, The Corridor is a waking nightmare fully realised and visually striking.
