The first full trailer and artwork have been shared for Paramount’s Scream VI, which is set for release on 10 March 2023.
Following the latest Ghostface killings, the four survivors leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter. In Scream VI, Melissa Barrera (“Sam Carpenter”), Jasmin Savoy Brown (“Mindy Meeks-Martin”), Mason Gooding (“Chad Meeks-Martin”), Jenna Ortega (“Tara Carpenter”), Hayden Panettiere (“Kirby Reed”) and Courteney Cox (“Gale Weathers”) return to their roles in the franchise alongside Jack Champion, Henry Czerny, Liana Liberato, Dermot Mulroney, Devyn Nekoda, Tony Revolori, Josh Segarra, and Samara Weaving.
The trailer sees our Scream (2022) survivors relocate to New York but they are stalked once again by Ghostface, although the killer preaches that they are something different entirely.
Scream VI also sees the return of Kirby from Scream VI, who as she states has a shared experience with all of the survivors plus Gale Weathers.
Our favourite bitchy reporter shows the group what appears to be a shrine to Ghostface killings, plus it appears as if the killer is wearing a mask from one of the previous bloodbath, that much like Halloween 2018’s Shape mask has become deteriorated over time. Could this be the original mask from 1996 and what significance does this have?
Gale herself is put in mortal danger throughout the trailer, and you have to wonder will they kill another legacy cast member off, following Dewey’s exit last time around.
