The first artwork and teaser trailer has debuted for Scream VI, which is set to hit theatres on 10 March 2023.
Following the latest Ghostface killings, the four survivors leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter.
In Scream VI, Melissa Barrera (“Sam Carpenter”), Jasmin Savoy Brown (“Mindy Meeks-Martin”), Mason Gooding (“Chad Meeks-Martin”), Jenna Ortega (“Tara Carpenter”), Hayden Panettiere (“Kirby Reed”) and Courteney Cox (“Gale Weathers”) return to their roles in the franchise alongside Jack Champion, Henry Czerny, Liana Liberato, Dermot Mulroney, Devyn Nekoda, Tony Revolori, Josh Segarra, and Samara Weaving.
The teaser shows a sequence aboard a train, presumably in New York City, with our four survivors from the previous film noticing a number of people dressed up as Ghostface. Could Scream VI be set around Halloween?
As this is Scream, we also see people dressed as Samara Weaving’s character from Ready Or Not plus Freddy Krueger and The Babadook.
It soon becomes clear that one of the Ghostface’s has bad intentions for Mindy, and charges towards her, holding her at knifepoint as we fade to black.
Will Mindy be our shocking first kill of the film or does the film have an ace up its sleeve? I guess we will find out in March 2023.
