The team at Womp Stomp Films is thrilled to announce a picture wrap for the highly anticipated Nightmare on Elm Street fan film Dylan’s New Nightmare.
Directed by Cecil Laird of The Horror Show youtube channel, Dylan’s New Nightmare acts as an unofficial sequel to Wes Craven’s New Nightmare, one of the most unique and high concept installments to theElm Street franchise.
This short film picks up 25 years after the events of New Nightmare and welcomes back Miko Hughes to reprise the role of Dylan Porter, the young son of Heather Langenkamp, now a grown man trying to make his way in the world his parents raised him in—Hollywood. Little does he know that the evil entity known as Freddy Krueger is back, and eager to once again break into our world through the son of his favorite victim.
After being delayed almost 3 years due to the pandemic, the project is celebrating the completion of filming by releasing exclusive images including a first look at Freddy Kreuger, played by Dave McRae and featuring make-up designed by Face Off season 9 winner Nora Hewitt.
The film also features special guest appearances by Friday the 13th alumni Ron Sloan and Cindy Kania.
With a tentative release scheduled for summer of 2023, fans can still support Dylan’s New Nightmare post production on the project’s Indiegogo campaign.
