In Kickstart My Heart, we follow a young girl as she attempts to escape her mind, oh and the 3 levels of hell to return to life.
These levels put her through the emotional and physical wringer, as it would never be easy to escape your own hell, would it?
Kickstart My Heart works on nightmare logic as crazy scenario after crazy scenario plays out, with some pulsating rock n roll music and impressive effects.
We get demons, zombies and masked assailants all thrown into the mix as metaphors for survival.
This short although brutal at times has plenty of heart. Easily one of the best screened as part of the festival.
