London-based genre writer David Dent has quite the task on his hands.
You may recognise David’s name from bylines here on Bloody Flicks, but he also runs his own blog The Dark Eyes of London plus a zine of the same name.
David’s focus in championing the best of British horror cinema, and at Paracinema Film Festival, David has taken on the mantle of presenting an annual talk to go through the releases of the past year – and there has been a lot – 154 for the record!
David clearly knows his stuff and is very self-deprecating and informative.
As with all talks about genre cinema this had me madly scribbling down films to add to my neverending watch list.
The talk lasted for around 30 minutes and was truly fantastic, and I already can’t wait to see what David comes up with for 2023 and how many films he will have to watch to pull it off.
