Bite (2022) review

Bite, from director James Owen had its world premiere recently at Arrow Video Frightfest.

To say the film has a nasty streak would be, to put it mildly, we focus Nina who escapes a gangland criminal, only to run into something far worse at a country home nearby.

The start of the film is quite laborious and takes its time to get into stride, but once it finds its stride Bite certainly has plenty of teeth.

Owen and his team must be commended for some excellent practical effects and going all out with some visceral, gory segments.

The film does suffer from pacing issues, and could have easily been 80-85 minutes with some of its exposition trimmed, but that would be just nitpicking.

Bite is a gritty, British horror thriller that will please fans looking for something a bit more realistic than your average slasher.

Look out for the film across the film festival circuit in the near future.
