With a title like Everybody Dies By The End, you may be expecting an ironic or meta-style slasher, but this film is far from it. This is extremely dark stuff.
When cult horror filmmaker Alfred Costella decides to make his final film, he recruits a documentary filmmaker to film his behind-the-scenes segments.
Right from the off, the atmosphere in this film is off, and while we may be able to telegraph where the film is going, it doesn’t make the final destination any less harrowing.
In the lead role of Alfred, we have Vinny Curran who gives a tour de force as the unhinged director.
He is ably backed up by genre regular Bill Oberst Jr. plus writer/director Ian Tripp, who plays documentary filmmaker Calvin.
This will leave a bit of an aftertaste and won’t easily be forgotten.
Everybody Dies By The End screens at Arrow Video Frightfest 2022.
