The first production from Bloody Flicks, ‘For the Love of the Boogeyman: 40 Years of Halloween’ has been chosen as an official selection for the Halloween International Film Festival, taking place in Kill Devil Hills in North Carolina between 25th and 28th October.
The third annual film festival celebrates the best of independent horror and Halloween themed cinema from right across the world.
This is the second official selection for ‘Boogeyman’, with its UK festival premiere taking place next weekend at Stoke on Trent’s Bottle Smoke Film Festival.
The documentary brings together some of the brightest voices in independent horror cinema to discuss and champion John Carpenter’s horror classic on its 40th birthday.
Writer/Director, Paul Downey commented,
“I’m absolutely over the moon about the news were screening at the Halloween International Film Festival.
“This makes all the hard work everyone has put in truly worth it and I can’t wait for the audience at the festival to see it.”
This will also be the documentary’s US premiere.
