You kind of know what you’re getting when the tagline for a film is ‘This Movie is Stupid’.
Camp Death… does what it says on the tin serving as a goofy parody of slashers such as Friday the 13th and Sleepaway Camp.
What is clear from the outset is that the makers of this are all in on the joke.
Once you get past the comedy which works sometimes and feels desperate in others, there’s plenty of gore to keep you entertained here.
This feels like the sort of film the makers of Scary Movie would have made on an independent budget.
The practical effects are also excellent and contribute to the kill scenes.
Camp Death… will certainly polarises audiences but if you get the humour this is a bloody good time.
